Hello, my name is Julie Robinson, and I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Hagan Health, where I’ve been part of the team since June 2025. I grew up in a small town in central Kentucky, but most of my life has been spent in Louisville, which I moved to for college at the University of Louisville. I earned my degree in marketing, with a minor in psychology, and after working in the business world for a few years, I decided to pursue my passion for healthcare by returning to UofL to earn my nursing degree.
My nursing career began at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, where I worked in the psychiatric field. Over the years, I expanded my experience in other areas, including at Frazier Rehabilitation Institute and Family Allergy and Asthma. However, my heart has always been with mental health, and in 2021, I decided to further my formal education by pursuing a master’s degree in psychiatric nursing at Northern Kentucky University. I graduated in May 2023 and became board-certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Although I am qualified to care for patients of all ages, I primarily see individuals aged 16 and older.
While I specialize in medication management, my approach to care is holistic. I believe in the power of lifestyle changes and self-care practices such as regular exercise, proper sleep, balanced nutrition, and relaxation techniques to complement treatment. Therapy is also a critical aspect of mental health, and I often refer patients to the skilled therapists at Hagan Health when needed. One of the things I’m most proud of in my practice is creating a space where people feel truly heard and supported. Many of my patients tell me they appreciate how much I listen and genuinely care about their well-being, which is incredibly rewarding to me. I believe that you know yourself better than anyone, and your voice is a vital part of the treatment process. My goal is to partner with you on your journey toward mental and emotional wellness, helping you achieve a sense of balance and success in your life.
