I can certainly acknowledge that we all go through our fair share of changes, trials, and hardships.
At times, it may even seem easier to stay where we are out of fear, the possibility of rejection, or
uncertainty. My passion is taking those first or continued steps of growth with you. You are not alone in
whatever you are going through.
My educational background is rooted in creativity and social work. My undergraduate degree is in
Studio Arts, with an emphasis in pre-art therapy; and my master’s degree is in social work, both from
Spalding University. Additionally, I am licensed by the Kentucky Board of Social Work as a Certified
Social Worker. I have had great success in combining all my backgrounds together in therapy sessions, in
groups, for non-profit organizations, and as a teacher in the private school setting.
My areas of interest are working with adults and children looking for anything from minor life
adjustments to trauma work. In practice, I typically use different strategies and therapy methods that are
best fitted to my specific client’s needs. My emphasis is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and
Internal Family Systems informed therapy, coupled with art-based therapies (mindfulness practices, forms
of expression, and visually transcribed communications). With one or more of these therapies working
together, communication can take place between your conscious and unconscious mind, aiding in
addressing minor to major trauma. I am passionate about working in any age group with anxiety,
depression, behavioral issues, eating disorders, and trauma.
I acknowledge the various social stigmas that can be associated with therapy. Please know that therapy can be for everyone. If you would like to experience that, I am more than happy to offer a non-judgmental space tailored to you.
